Here are just a few fast ways to lose weight which can be worked into anyones lifestyle.

Fiber and water. Fiber is extremely important in any diet, but if you are looking for fast ways to lose weight it becomes a necessity in your daily meal plan. When fiber enters your body it soaks up water and gets bigger, which fills your stomach more and makes you feel full. You do not want to drastically increase your fiber because too much can make you feel bloated and extreme high amounts may deplete other nutrients from your body. Aim for 20-30 grams of fiber a day and increase your water intake so there is plenty fluid for the fiber to absorb. It is a good idea to slowly work up to that level if you are not used to eating a lot of fiber rich foods.

Snack Replacements. Fresh vegetables and fruit will help get you to those 20-30 grams of fiber required each day, and they are easy to work into your diet if you switch them with some of your favorite snacks. Veggies and fruits are low in calories and will give you an energy lift. If you are used to eating high amounts of food at one time, you will find that most fruits and veggies will allow you to eat more for less calories than any other snack option. You can still have your favorite snack foods, but replacing at least one or two snacks a day with fresh produce is one of the fast ways to lose weight without feeling deprived.

Increase Exercise Intensity. You may already be working an exercise program, but one of the best ways to lose weight fast is to increase the intensity on a regular basis. When you first start an exercise program you want to make sure you work at a level that is challenging for your body. You want your heart rate up and you want to sweat. With time, you will become fitter and your body will not have to work as hard to sustain that exercise, and you will start burning less calories. That is why you need to continually up the intensity as certain exercises become too easy.

With weight training you simply increase the weight you lift or resistance on the machines. With cardio, it depends on the form but there are many inexpensive products out there to help you. Weighted gloves or ankle weights can be worn during aerobics and kickboxing sessions. Walking can be turned into power walking or even into jogging and running. Stepping up on a low surface can be switched up to climbing large steps of stairs for more exertion. Get creative! Sometimes it can be as easy as adding jumps and springs to your movements.

Here’s a fast way to lose weight which will allow you to drop pounds and inches quickly. If you walk, run, or jog… then I’m going to show you something that YOU NEED TO DO to get the most out of it. If you do nothing else, just do this for exercise and you’ll lose lots of weight due to the “AFTERBURN EFFECT”.

Fast Way to Lose Weight – Intervals

You can do this with just about any cardio exercise, but this works really well with walking/jogging/running.

Here’s why intervals work great for weight loss. They create what is called an “afterburn effect”. This simply means that once you’re done working out, you continue to burn fat and calories at a faster than normal speed for anywhere from 8-20 hours.

Without intervals, you don’t get that. Once you stop exercising, you stop burning fat and calories faster than normal.

Here’s how to get the most out of intervals with walking, jogging, and running.

Alternate between either running fast and walking or running fast and then jogging slowly. This doesn’t work as good with jogging and walking combined. You need the high intensity of running to get the most out of this.

What’s great about this is that you can individualize it to suit yourself. For some people, running hard for 5-10 seconds is the most they can do and then they follow it up with 25-30 seconds of walking or slow jogging. Others can run for 15 seconds and then walk or jog slowly for 20 seconds.

Basically, fit it to your conditioning levels. There’s no right interval answer.

One thing I’ve found that works good is to do sets of 6 minutes when doing intervals. So say I’ll run or do the stairstepper fast for 10 seconds and follow it with 20 seconds of doing it slow. I continue that until 6 minutes are done.

This keeps you relatively fresh. Then take a 2-3 minute water and rest break and get back to it for 2-3 more times. You can get an incredible fat loss workout doing this for less than 25 minutes.

So if you want to drop pounds and inches, doing cardio intervals is a fast way to lose weight in a short amount of time.

Lose Weight Tips: How to Kick Your Fat to the Curb in 2010

Another year has come and gone, and, the promise you made to yourself at the start of 2009 to lose x amount of pounds didn’t happen. While I’m sure you’re disappointed at this, you probably still have hope that you can lose this weight in the coming year. That’s great. However, in order for you to successfully lose the weight this time around, you need to heed these lose weight tips and take them seriously.

Think about your self image – If you really want to know how to lose weight and keep it off, the first thing you need to do is sit down and think about how you really feel about yourself. I’m not talking about how you wish to be, but, how you really are at this moment.

When you look at yourself in the mirror, what thoughts cross your mind?

I’m too fat.

I look gross.

My thighs look horrible.

This belly fat makes me look old and bloated.

I wish I were as thin as…?

I used to be a young stud, but now look at me.

These are thoughts that many of us have when we look at our imperfections. But, we’re only looking at the exterior things. Weight gain also involves the mental. Things going on in our lives from the past or present often affect the way we treat food. If you’re an emotional or stress eater, then you probably grab a bag of chips, a handful of cookies, or an extra fast food burger, often without even thinking much about it.

Of course, you claim to hate yourself after a pig out, but do you really?

It’s not really you that you hate, but the thing that’s driving you to overeat and allow yourself to keep putting on the pounds. The thing that you hate, is not taking action to modify your diet and physical activity, so that you can start dropping pounds.

Being overweight may make you feel awful when you’re in a reflective mood, but it doesn’t make you a bad person. People may snicker at you because you’re out of shape, but you know who you really are on the inside. Those mean people have issues of their own that they’re not dealing with. You need to focus on your own weight loss issues.

Why are you not willing to make permanent changes to your eating habits?

Why are you not taking the time to exercise for just 30 minutes three times a week?

Why are you looking for quick fixes to a problem that you’ve lived with for a long time?

Once you begin answering these types of questions, and become honest with yourself, you’ll have a breakthrough.

Make a commitment to yourself – This is the hard part. Many people start on diets with good intentions of staying with it for the long haul, but, usually after a month or so, their enthusiasm wanes. This may be because they picked the wrong type of diet for them. For instance, if you’re always picking fad diets that promise big weight loss in 2 weeks, you’ll never learn how to take weight off in a healthy way.

Make a commitment to yourself, in the new year, that you will follow just one diet plan for at least three months. If you haven’t seen any results after that time, then you’ll look for another plan that suits your needs better. Three months is enough time to see significant changes in your body and general health.

Get some support – If you’ve got more than 10 pounds to lose, it’s going to be a struggle from day to day. Some days you’ll be elated because you’ve lost x amount of pounds, while other days you’ll be frustrated that the scale just doesn’t move. This is normal. Everyone has unique body chemistry and genetics, so we all lose weight at different rates.

See if you can find a friend or family member who also could use some help to lose weight. The two of you can stay in touch during the time you both are on a diet and support each other. People who have lost significant amounts of weight, often say that it really helped that they had someone close to them supporting their goal.

Bottom line is: It really is possible for you to kick your fat to the curb in 2010, but you’ll need to be motivated and determined to push through your own fear and frustrations in order to succeed.

Hindu squats are a fast-paced bodyweight squat. Here’s what you do. Squat up and down fast. Simple enough. Ok, then. While you do that, touch your finger tips to the ground during each repetition. This makes sure you squat down far enough for it to be helpful to you.

I’d like for you to squat 100 repetitions in under 5 minutes. You can curse and thank me later. Do this 5 minute exercise everyday. If you don’t get 100 repetitions in 5 minutes, just stop and make note of the number of reps you did. Try and beat it next time.

2. Hula Hoop for waist and hips toning

Right off the bat, you probably think the hula hoop is for kids… I bet. Well, hula hooping is perhaps the top exercise to tone down your hips and waist and create some nice, feminine curves. Just twirl it around your waist, simple

Do this for a total of 10 minutes a day. Ten minutes all at once or break it down and do it “here and there”.

3. Isometric Butt Squeeze your way to a more shapely, tighter butt

Isometric butt squeezes are nothing more than squeezing your butt together as hard as you can… for as long as you can. The results come “fast and furious” too. Tighten your butt while you lose some unnecessary fat from it.

Just do it for 5 minutes a day. Try to hold each squeeze for a minimum of 30 seconds… but longer is better.
